MODUS X took part in the IT Meets panel discussion, organized by Lviv IT Cluster, dedicated to the role of artificial intelligence in transforming products and business processes — from consumer applications to critical infrastructure.
The company was represented at the event by Andrii Bondar, R&D and Innovation Lead, who shared practical experience in implementing AI solutions within DTEK Group.
The discussion also featured Oles Petriv (CTO & Co-founder, Reface) and Andrii Leitsiusi (Head of Engineering, SQUAD). The panel was moderated by Andrii Laba, SVP of Product at Simulmedia.
A systematic approach to AI implementation
During his presentation, Andrii Bondar outlined MODUS X’s approach to AI implementation at DTEK, based on a stage-gate model. Each initiative goes through validation at every stage — from idea generation to piloting and further scaling.
«We are building the process to move quickly, but responsibly. This is critically important when working with infrastructure and sensitive data» , he noted.
As of 2026, more than 20 active pilot projects are being implemented as part of the AI transformation.
Balancing speed and security requirements
Special attention during the discussion was given to the challenges large companies face when implementing innovations, particularly the need to balance the speed of technological development with security requirements and regulatory constraints.
«The speed of change today is unprecedented. For large companies, this means constantly seeking new approaches that allow them to accelerate without compromising security», Andrii Bondar emphasized.
AI as a tool for accelerating R&D
According to the speaker, the use of AI has significantly transformed MODUS X’s R&D function. The team has been able to substantially shorten the development cycle — from idea to the first prototype.
This enables faster hypothesis testing, more effective collaboration with business teams, and data-driven decision-making on scaling solutions.
Customer focus
Andrii also highlighted the importance of skills that remain critical in the context of AI development.
«Empathy for the user is what enables the creation of solutions that truly meet the needs of both businesses and people», he noted.
